Compact
cassette tape was a new design invented by Philips and launched at the Berlin
Radio Show in 1963. The Philips EL-3300 was the world´s first cassette tape
player and recorder.
The
EL-3301 is the evolution of the previous model (EL-3300) sold in Europe in
1964. It is more advanced than the first model. However there are not many obvious
differences at a glance (the EL-3301 is gray instead of brown and its lid has
wings). It was sold in USA as Norelco carry-corder 150.
